We have received federal student loan funds from the Department of Education and disbursed them to your student account. Please be advised that the loan(s) must be repaid according to the terms outlined in the Master Promissory Note.  You may log in to BlazerNET and review your loan(s) on your ‘My Financial Aid’ page.

You have the right to cancel or adjust any or all loan(s) disbursed to your account. Cancelling all or a portion of your loan may affect the amount you owe to UAB. If you do not wish to cancel or adjust your loan(s), no action is necessary.

If you wish to request that UAB return loan funds on your behalf, complete the Loan Cancellation Request form which may also be found in BlazerNET under Links/Forms. Print and return the completed form along with the loan funds to UAB Student Accounting Services within 14 days of the date of this notice. 

If you choose to return your loan after 120 days, payment must be made directly to your student loan servicer. More information on repaying your student loan can be found at www.studentloans.gov.
