Introduction to cross-cultural theory of genre and human experience with a particular emphasis on the historical and cultural context in which literary traditions are shaped, interpreted and reinvented. FLL 220 invites the students to think critically about the formation of literary canons and the ethics of translating cultural difference/sameness. This course fulfills the QEP requirements in , Ethics and Civil Responsibility (ECR).
