MA 102 - Intermediate Algebra
MA102: First day attendance is mandatory. Students not in attendance on the first day will be dropped from the course. Students not in attendance at the first lab meeting will be dropped from the course. Students will not be added after the first day of class. MA102 requires weekly lab time. The first 50 minutes of lab time is scheduled with the instructor. The remaining lab time is required but not scheduled; rather, the time is of the student's own choosing. Information regarding the scheduled and non-scheduled lab time will be provided in the syllabus and discussed in the first course/lab meeting. On-line section only: MA102 section QL is an on-line version of MA102 intended primarily for students who have job conflicts or live a long distance from the campus. There are no lectures or instructor-led lab meetings with this section. Students who need direct instructor support should register for one of the other sections of MA102. Students in the on-line section should be self-starters who are confident in their ability to master mathematics. Instructor support is available via email. PREREQUISITES: Undergraduate level MA098. Minimum Grade of P or C, or (ACT Math Score 20 and High School GPA 2.5) or ACT Math Score 21 or (SAT Mathematics 480 and High School GPA 2.5) or SAT Mathematics 500 or MA Screening-Advanced 15.
